As I mentioned before, I decided to go back to clogging this week. It was so much fun! There were many people I remembered from the group that I danced with before! I even got to catch up with a nice lady whose son had danced on the same competition team I was on as a kid. She had been on the adult team, herself & even though she mentioned not having danced in quite some time, you could tell she still had the skills! Although they only did 1, or maybe 2 routines that I remembered completely, it was a lot like “riding a bicycle” – I picked up on the steps from several of the new routines fairly quickly & enjoyed myself, even when I made mistakes. I’m so thankful that my Mother-in-Law coaxed me back into it & that Jeremy is willing to watch the girls, so that I can have a social activity all my own, once again. It’s a great hobby, too, for the exercise that you get & as much as I remember, it’s still a challenge, because I have a lot of new routines to learn & different steps to get down, as well. I’m really excited to keep going back! If anyone else is interested in learning, let me know, because they have a beginner’s group as well & it would be great to have even more buddies there with me! 🙂
